The Fast Estimate Tool helps you quickly generate and share roofing estimates with homeowners. Follow this step-by-step guide to create a fast estimate and turn it into a proposal or signed agreement.

Step 1: Access the Tool
Navigate to the Canvassing section.
Click on Maps.
Select a home by clicking on a property you’re working with.
Confirm the homeowner details (especially if you've already made contact).
Step 2: Open the Fast Estimate Tool
Click on the Tools tab.
Select Fast Estimate.
The system will automatically load visible roof structures around the selected property.
Step 3: Add Additional Roofs (If Needed)
If a structure (like a detached garage) doesn’t appear:
Click Next.
Select Add Additional Roof.
Draw the roof by clicking four points to outline it.
To fine-tune the roof shape:
Click on it.
Drag the dots to adjust the layout as needed.
Step 4: Finalize Roof Details
Click Next after all roof structures are selected and drawn.
Enter the following:
Pitch
Waste
Price per Square Foot (e.g., $5.50)
The system will automatically calculate total square footage and cost.
Step 5: Generate a Proposal
Click Create Proposal.
Choose from your available Templates (e.g., Contingency Agreement).
The template will automatically include:
Square footage
Price per square foot
Total estimated cost
Legal clauses and signature section
Step 6: Edit Proposal (Optional)
Adjust the quote as needed:
Modify price or measurements
Add margin
You can also insert extra pages or additional quotes.
Step 7: Share & Sign
Share the proposal with the homeowner:
In person
Via email (includes tracking)
Homeowner can:
View the estimate
Sign electronically
Add notes
Request an emailed copy
You can manually mark it as signed to aid internal tracking.
✅ Done!
You’ve now successfully used the Fast Estimate Tool to generate and share a roofing estimate that can lead directly into a signed contract.
